My Name is Christina Peltier, and I have been an art teacher in public schools since 2005. I currently teach in a suburb near Detroit, Michigan at a middle school. My job is challenging daily, and also wonderful, for many reasons. The school where I teach is about as diverse as I could never even imagine. Not only do we have students from all over the world, we also serve students from all over the county with special needs. I have students who speak many languages, who are blind, who are nonverbal, and range widely with cognitive ability all in my general education classes. Technology assists with giving every kid in my art classes the opportunity to create and communicate, and I strive to bring accessibility to all kids.

As an artist, I enjoy painting and drawing. As an art appreciator, I enjoy sculpture the most. I visit Ontario, Canada each year, and hope to be in Europe annually moving forward. I love New Orleans, and spent New Year's Eve there this last holiday. Detroit is a fantastic city and I try to spend time in the city when possible.

I hope to post artwork I discover while exploring, here.
