Teaching art to young people is a gift because it provides so much daily inspiration, with a little drama and strife and hilarity sprinkled in. The days are packed full and intense, especially teaching adolescents. I generally receive 8-10 questions from kids before the bell even rings each day at 8am. To balance this, I enjoy our school breaks and summers off, and definitely try to make the most of them with regards to my own creativity, and travel.

As an artist, I enjoy painting and drawing. As an art appreciator, I enjoy sculpture the most. I visit Ontario, Canada each year, and hope to be in Europe annually moving forward. I love New Orleans, and always feel artistically inspired when visiting there. Detroit is a fantastic city and I try to spend time downtown when possible. The murals, the music, and the collective energy in Detroit make it a top-notch creative place I think everyone should visit.

I hope to post artwork I discover while exploring, here.
